Master of Ordinance

Hello again.

Well me and my friends are into the next stage of our Legends of War game, we made a HQ and two troops now the next step is upping the points value of the armies. We decided to go with 1,000 points. and so the first model i made was my Master of Ordinance.

Now Why did I pick this model for my army? Well this is a tank army and i can fit only so many tanks so I need to have more...off the table! Yes this is a Tank division of the Mechanica so I need more tanks even if I have to pretend they are there to have them.

Also i do like their rules alot. You are getting a Large Blast template St 9 AP 3 barrage 1 weapon for only 30 points.

And what you get isn't half bad. You have unlimited range, and you get to reduce the distance the pie-plate goes by 4 if the Master of ordinance can see his target. yeah the gun still scatters no matter what you do but still the weapon is pretty sound when it hits, it keeps the enemy on their toes cause they have no clue what you will fire at with it, and this is a little nasty trick it can use the "Fire on My target" command so you can have those annoying units in the back in the building be forced to re-roll their cover save if they are hit which is a major plus.

All in all

Pros:
A.Cost; it is really cheap and you get alot for only 30 points making this unit worth taking
B. Power; this is a Str. 9 AP 3 Large Ordinance Barrage 1 for the points your paying you are getting a gun equivalent to the Basilisk
C. unlimited Range; no place is safe from the powerful blast of the Basilisk off on the horizon.
D. Uses commands; this shot can benefit from "Fire on my Target"
E. High BS; The Master of Ordinance has a BS 4 so when he can see the target he knocks off the same number of inches as a Space Marine

Cons:
A. Triple Dice: when missing the Master of Ordinance rolls 3 d6's for Scatter
B. Line of Sight; if the Master of Ordinance can't see he doesn't get to take his BS off the range scattered
C. Hit!; even if the Master of Ordinance rolls a hit on the scatter dice it still scatters in the direction the arrow on the hit icon is pointing, but it allows the Master of Ordinance to roll only 2d6s instead of 3
D. Heavy Weapon; Despite it just being a guy with a data pad its still a heavy weapon so if you move then he can't fire forcing you to stay right where you are but if your like me and never plan to have your Command Platoon move this is not a issue.

That is the Master of ordinance as i see it I love it i hope you do too if not oh well. Here he is compared to my Vox-caster of my command platton

Until next time!

The Member of the death dealers!

hello all!

Well it is finally done "The Emperor's Will"

he has been finally finished Commanded by Tank commander Damon Renolds another personal friend of General Cutter form when Cutter was part of the Death Dealers Super Heavy tank squad.

The Tank is a Shadowsword class with magnetized Sponsons for easy transport and magnetized front plate in cause I want to add more sponsons later.

The Side of the Barrel of its gun has written on it "The Emperor Protects Us" Since the Guard believe in the power of the Emperor to shield them from harm as they go into battle

On the other side of the gun it says "We Punish Them!" as it is indeed Damon's feelings that it is their duty to rain down punishment on those who fial to except the Emperor's teachings.

Well you all know now what this means? The Next Vdieo on my video blog will be up ina few days going into full detail about this model and how I made it.

So keep a look out for my Vidoe Blog for the next video!

Until next time all!

Emperor's Will Progress!

Well all The Emperor's Will is coming along nicely and It may be done sooner then expected!

The Sponsons are done (I am most likely spelling that wrong) and I have to say the hardest part was magnetizing them mostly cause I do it the silliest way possible first and do not realize what a better way would have been until it's too late.

But the things are removable with no fear of falling off which is what matters most

here it is, all ready for the final stages which is adding the extra detail and painting the red and metal parts.

The plates on the front of the sides are magnetic too I saw Bluetablepainting do it and I decided I was going to do it as well in case i decide to add extra sponsons to the tank.

Well that is all for now I guess i should go back to painting!

The Emporer's Will

well all For those who have not seen my Video blog (Link on the side) I have a new project coming and believe me this is HUGE! I give you

The Emperor's Will

Well it's not finished in fact its no where near done but i want to keep everyone posted as to how its coming along.

I must admit this model is a little bit harder to make then the Baneblade, not in level of complexity no no no

This model is hard to build cause the instructions are not that clear, and the images actually sometimes don;t match as to what your suppose to do. and sometimes the images of some parts are in reverse I joke not. I had to go on Youtube to vidoe videos of poepel who have already built one to see what its suppose to look like.

SO yeah annoying, but this model is like any other Once you have built one you built them all and can wip one up pretty fast. Despite this you still can't help but get a warm feeling inside when you see this monster come together cause it is just so cool, I mean I hear the Imperial March and Celtic Chants playing in my head as I build this bad boy.
But yes this is the second member of my Death Dealers squad of Super Heavy tanks under the direct command of General Cutter the commanding officer of the 705 Mechanicus Tank Division

Well that is all for now I just want to keep you up to date on how this bad boy is coming and once I post that it is done here I will post my Specal video blog I tlaked about on my vidoe blog, until then here is a better pic of The Emporer's Will with his buddy tank the Peremptory

Vendetta review!

hello all Helios here!

today i am going to go over the Valkyrie Model and the Vendetta Conversion Kit. Over all the model is impressive but I do have some problems with it. A it seems the glass for the cockpit is a but too small for the model making it a bit hard to get them to line up right unless you really get the cockpit to press in very close to each piece. Now other then this little problem the model is actuality real easy to put together ten times more then most tank models. My biggest problem above all things is the stand. The damn thing is too big you need to cut the under belly of the Model out to make it fit and if the curve of the stand is facing away from the front of the model it will look like it is flying up into the sky. So its hard to make sure you have the stand facing the right way. and the instructions don't really show you how it's suppose to go. That was a pain.

Now the conversion kit is great it is simple and nicely done I personally think it was one of the best kits I have gotten from FW.

Persoanlly I give the model a B+ cause there are some problems with it but all in all i think GW is getting better with making model kits If you are a Impeiral Guard player I highly recomend this model even if it doesn;t fit in your list it is worth having

Well that is all for now I will try and make some more interesting blogs for this site. So after I finsih my next vidoe blog I will start doing every other week one blog here then one video on my vidoe blog. The vidoe blog will cover about 90% of my how toos from now on scine its a bit eaier for me to show rather then tell how I do things. Until next time!

Hello all,

This is a blog of sadness today, when i was at work some Dick suckers decided to bash in my car window steal my GPS and my Battalion Carry Case which had in it my Warmahcine army, one of my really old white dwarf issues, and my Vendetta. Needles to say i am pissed off. And with good reason So to those bastards I hope if there were was two of them the other guy kicked the shit out of him for picking up a bag of minis instead of a PC cause I am sure that is what they though twas in it.

SO I was going to do a review on the Valkri Model and the Vendetta conversion kit but Instead I am just going to post some pics of my Hard work in memory of the model i just finsihed painting and will never get a chance to try out...
well here is hoping it never happens again, that justice will be servied and my next purches plan goes through

Paint it Black!

Hey all

Well tonight I am going to talk about painting it black!

Now what am i talking about? I am talking about base coating a model black and plan to have the main color of the model also be black. This can be hard cause how do you know what parts you painted the main color and what parts are only based? well this is how I go about basing my models that I plan to paint black

What i tend to do is use the Armory Base Paint becasue it sprays on thin and is a off black color making it a bit easier to tell what parts are based and what parts have been painted Chaos black. Now here is a Model that was based with Armory Paint Black then painted over with Chaos Black. As you can see the chaos black is deeper in color where as the Armory paint is a little off which allows me to see what parts are done and which aren't and this makes the work go alot faster and with less head achs as to trying to figure out what part is painted and what is not.

Now Should you base the model? Well I like to cause it allows for the raided parts to stick out a bit more and gives the model a more 3d look So in my personal view i think it is worth priming the black models first just like I would recommend priming white models as well it just allows for a better paint cover and all around looks nicer.

One thing to keep in mind Do not over spray with Armory black, it tends to leave a residue if you put too much on and gives the model a granny feeling that comes off when you handle it 9getting everywhere I might add) and gets rid of any smoothness the model had before hand. A Lite spray once over and that is it. do not spray and stay in one spot or apply multiple coats trust me it just ended up being a big mess but if done right this paint is the best for doing base coats on models that you plan to paint black.

Well this was a short post this time sorry its really hard to make these long with out getting over done so I will try and pick a topic that can be expanded on a bit longer, until next time!
